About Michael

A neighbor, a public servant, and a proven local leader.

Michael N. Thomas

Michael N. Thomas

Michael Thomas is a Washington Terrace City Council Member and candidate for Candidate for Weber County Commissioner, Seat B. He is running because he believes Weber County is at a crossroads — and that the county needs leadership that understands how decisions made at the county level ripple through every neighborhood, city, and valley.

Through his time on the City Council and his involvement with the Utah League of Cities and Towns (ULCT), Michael has seen firsthand the damage that one-size-fits-all policies can do to unique communities. What works for Washington Terrace does not always work for Huntsville, Roy, or West Haven — and as Commissioner, he will fight to make sure every city gets the tailored representation it deserves.

Michael has built meaningful working relationships with the Weber County Sheriff’s Department, the Weber-Morgan Health Department, and local Redevelopment Boards. He brings practical, city-level experience to every issue — from public safety to economic development to water security.

As County Commissioner, Michael’s priorities are clear: responsible growth that does not burden current taxpayers, real property tax relief through government efficiency, fully funded first responders, and a local voice for every community in Weber County.
